the plume brief
Conceptualise, design and create a bar space in the lobby of a well-established, flagship property in the heart of Singapore. A reimagining of what is possible in the hotel lobby with the view to reclaim parts of the unused lounge.
Work alongside the current architectural designer to create a schematic design and layout that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Full concept creation and exploration along with branding exercise, collateral design, menu design and the unique beverage offerings.
Practical work surfaces are to be included in this design phase to create a bar that is structured, efficient and durable.

The overall venue concept was created with expansion in mind, as this is the flagship property of the Pan Pacific we wanted to create a ‘brand’ that could be implemented successfully in other markets.
We worked closely with the architectural designer to create a practical schematic plan based around structural workflow dynamics ensuring a space that it as aesthetically impactful as it is efficient. Full stainless steel work spaces and bar stations were created specifically for the space in order to improve productivity per unit of labour.
Creating a concept based around the bird life of Singapore ensures an idea that has longevity for future menu iterations and can be replicated in an interesting and unique way in other outlets both regionally and globally.
Our branding exercise accompanied the overall concept with menu design, collateral and photo styling. Interior styling recommendations, music styling and uniform design were used to create a cohesive look and feel across the board.
Our standard training suite covers technique and movement basics along with theory 101 in spirit and cocktail categories. We touch on the psychology of service and the art of hospitality, prep training and the menu implementation.
