On a global scale the food and beverage industry play a dominant role in contributing to large amounts
of waste. Up to 30% of all fresh produce is wasted resulting in 8% of the total greenhouse gas emissions. That figure combined with the amount of single-use components, supply-chain realities and overall carbon emissions creates a sobering reality.
We have systematically been working to reduce our carbon footprint and through the connections and relationships forged, along with the knowledge gained in the undertaking of this endeavour we have formed an array of powerful partnerships in several markets, ensuring that our vision for Compound Collective to become a wholly carbon net neutral company was achieved in 2018 with Climate-Positive results achieved in 2019 and carried through to 2023.
